4.3 AI Processing and File Upload Disclosures

Our study assistant tools (including the PDF to Quiz Generator, Lecture Note Summarizer, and Past Question Analyzer) utilize generative artificial intelligence models (such as the Google Gemini API).

When you upload files (.pdf, .docx, .pptx) for AI analysis:

  • Your files are transmitted securely using SSL/TLS encryption.
  • Private (unshared) files are parsed dynamically in temporary cache buffers and are permanently and automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours of generation.
  • The underlying AI processors do not store, retain, or use your uploaded documents or text inputs to train proprietary or public machine learning models.
  • If you check the option to "Share this past question publicly", the file is indexed and hosted securely in our public database directory, allowing other students to view and download it. You can request removal of public files at any time.
